Overview:
TEN TONNES has spent the past 18 months laying the foundations for a much bigger future. The young musician has consistently demonstrated that he’s a talent worth watching, from his first Warners EP ‘Born To Lose’ through to more recent tracks such as ‘G.I.V.E.’ and ‘Cracks Between’.
Now TEN TONNES is set to release his eagerly anticipated debut album on the 3rd of May. Featuring production from Hugo White of The Maccabees and Dan Grech (Wolf Alice, The Killers, Liam Gallagher), it compiles several fan favourites with a host of new material.
Having just announces a tour which includes his biggest London show to date, he’s now set to continue his European tour as special guests to his brother George Ezra with a run of sold-out arena dates. He’ll further preview the album a few days later by sharing the new single ‘Better Than Me’ before a Radio 1 / Maida Vale session for Jack Saunders was broadcast on November 20th.
Adept at creating anthemic moments with lyrics that are simultaneously wistful and poetic, TEN TONNES has earned major support from all quarters of the tastemaker media. Radio support has included Annie Mac, Huw Stephens and Abbie McCarthy at Radio 1, plus Jo Whiley at Radio 2 and John Kennedy at Radio X. Previously tipped as a MTV Get to Know artist, his press coverage has included Clash, DIY, Dork, NME and The Sunday Times.
The trek with George Ezra completes a year of major tours for TEN TONNES. He’s already played packed arenas with Stereophonics, instigated chaotic scenes with Rat Boy and switched vibes when he toured with Tom Grennan.
