• The Ruts were a reggae-influenced British punk rock band, notable for the 1979 Top 10 hit "Babylons Burning".
• The band consisted of singer Malcolm Owen, guitarist Paul Fox, bass player John Segs Jennings and drummer Dave Ruffy and were active in anti-racist causes as part of the Misty in Roots People Unite
collective based in Southall, West London and playing several benefits for Rock Against Racism.
• This superb Ruts DC live album was recorded in Europe during 2013-14 and features Segs, Dave Ruffy,
guitarist Leigh Heggarty and vocalist Molara performing 15 classic tracks.
• The show includes the top 10 hit "Babylons Burning" and an earlier single In a Rut, which was not a hit but
was much played and highly regarded by the UK BBC Radio 1 disc jockey, John Peel.
