Bananarama are set to return once again to the charts with the release of their new single, the dancefloor-commanding Love Don’t Live Here. The track, the second single from 2009’s barnstorming return-to-form album Viva! Bananarama, sees Sara Dallin and Keren Woodward put all their music-nous into an epic few minutes of pop class. After an intro of eerie operatic aria, the disco beat and pulsing synths that kick in quickly dispel any hint of Love Don’t Live Here being a grandiose ballad. Love Don’t Live Here, and indeed the album, is the result of the duo’s recent work with Ian Masterson, a producer whose credits range from Pet Shop Boys to Girls Aloud and whose instinctive grasp of the Bananarama spirit has resulted in some extraordinarily good music on Viva! Bananarama.
