UMC are proud to announce two new titles in Elton John remastered vinyl reissue series, the classic live albums ‘Here and There’ and ‘Live In Australia with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra’. ‘Here and There’ was originally released in 1976, and featured live recordings from both the Royal Festival Hall in London and Madison Square Garden in New York from 1974. The original vinyl release, mirrored in this reissue, was 5 songs from the Royal Festival Hall on Side 1 and 4 songs from Madison Square Garden on Side 2, and includes and insert with original liner notes by Paul Gambaccini. ‘Live In Australia with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra’ was recorded in Sydney in 1986 and released as in 1987. The live version of 'Candle in the Wind' from this album was released as a single in the US in 1987, peaking at #6 in the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and in the UK in 1988, peaking at #5. It also earned Elton a Grammy nomination in 1988 for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance.The albums are both remastered and reissued on 180 gram heavyweight vinyl and include a digital download card. Reissuing ‘Here and There’ and ‘Live In Australia with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra’ in 2018 will complete the catalogue of Elton’s live albums on vinyl, after the 2017 releases of ‘17-11-70’ and ‘One Night Only – The Greatest Hits’.
