Forty years have passed since Yes’ eight studio album, ‘Going For The One’, was released on Atlantic Records. This album marked Rick Wakeman’s return to the band and also a return to shorter songs; it was a commercial success, certified gold by the RIAA and received highly positive response from critics.
All of the five tracks are characterised by abstract lyrics that project allegorical images, monumental and melodic music and vocal harmonies perfectly balanced by the various instrumental parts.
