Taking Back Sunday 152 Limited Vinyl LP
Overview:
For over two decades, Taking Back Sunday has cultivated a massive, dedicated fanbase built around music that reverberates with supreme sincerity, desire, and connection. The influential, multi-platinum selling rock band, originally from Long Island, NY, brought mature songcraft and pop sensibilities to punk’s rigid conformity, helping expand the genre’s contours while carrying the band to new heights¾and in the process, galvanized artists such as The Killers, Kings of Leon, My Chemical Romance, and Paramore, among many others.
Now, Taking Back Sunday: John Nolan (lead guitar, piano, vocals), Adam Lazzara (lead vocals), Shaun Cooper (bass), and Mark O’Connell (drums), is set to release their eighth studio album (and Fantasy Records debut) titled 152, their first collection of new music since 2016’s Tidal Wave. 152, (named for the Charlotte, NC offramp that became a popular meet-in-the-middle stop for a group of friends) was produced by Tushar Apte (whom the band met through a mutual collaboration with noted DJ Steve Aoki) and mixed by Neal Avron (Twenty One Pilots, Bleachers, Sara Bareilles).
The long-awaited LP, featuring 10 intensely vulnerable and absorbing new tracks (all written and recorded by the group) is delivered with fresh ambition and newfound purpose. Deeply inspired by the long layoff and the cloud of uncertainty that blanketed the world (and music industry) these past few years, 152 stands among the most genuinely reflective and emotionally pure efforts of Taking Back Sunday’s illustrious career.
